GST rationalisation, AP to get benefit of Rs.8,000 crore

Andhra Pradesh is set to gain Rs. 8,000 crore from GST rationalisation, benefiting citizens with lower tax rates on essential items and boosting economic growth in the state.

Andhra Pradesh Government on Monday launched celebration of next generation GST reforms, which it says will benefit the people of the State to an extent of Rs.8,000 crore.

The increased money flow and purchase power among the middle class people will encourage the growth of MSMEs in a big way, Finance Minister Payyavula Keshav, said.

Prominent entrepreneur Kanakatala Mallikarjuna Rao, who owns a chain of clothing showrooms, said they have started passing on the benefits GST rationalisation to the people.
